|
What does volunteering involve? Morning volunteering involves a lot of cleaning. All cat and kitten modules need to be cleaned thoroughly. Washing need to be done, dishes need to be washed and floors need to be swept and mopped. Mornings are very busy times at the shelter. Afternoon volunteering is a bit different. All animals need to be fed, modules need to be swept if they are unclean. Litter trays emptied if need be and this is also the time when we get a lot of the public coming in to look at the animals. Dog walking is another great way to help. Our dogs all enjoy going for walks down at the river. As some of them stay here for lengths of time, leash walking is very important to maintain as everyone wants a dog that is obedient during walks. |
