Volunteering: The Centre is always in need of reliable volunteers to help with the up-keep of the centre and the feeding and socializing of the animals.

What does volunteering involve?

Morning volunteering involves a lot of cleaning. All cat and kitten modules need to be cleaned thoroughly. Washing need to be done, dishes need to be washed and floors need to be swept and mopped. Mornings are very busy times at the centre.

Afternoon volunteering is a bit different. All animals need to be fed, modules need to be swept if they are unclean. Litter trays emptied if need be and this is also the time when we get a lot of the public coming in to look at the animals.

Dog walking is another great way to help. Our dogs all enjoy going for walks down at the river. As some of them stay here for lengths of time, leash walking is very important to maintain as everyone wants a dog that is obedient during walks.
Other volunteer work from time to time is available and listed here.
